Altia is investing in regenerative farming together with the Baltic Sea Action Group and contract farmers to reduce the carbon footprint of its products. Farmers are a key factor in this change - regenerative farming improves carbon sequestration in the soil and thus increases the yield capacity of fields. Regenerative farming benefits both the farmer and the environment. Our goal is to be a pioneer, this video tells more about it.
We will provide training for our contract farmers together with BSAG. In addition, the ongoing Academy of Agriculture is an extensive co-operation project that deals with the means and opportunities of regenerative farming throughout the Finnish food production chain.
